Hobo Johnson: Feminist Icon

Women’s empowerment has been going on since the beginning of time. The Greeks weren’t all that great on it, and then Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and Confucianism all happened, sadly. But since then it’s been on an upswing, the right to vote, Lockheed Martin having a female CEO, and Thatcherism. But from Hammurabi to the board of Lockheed, the trend of the greatest feminists being men has persisted. That is no different in the music world.
“Nookie” by not-incel rage band Limp Bizkit, “Mexicali Blues” by free-love lovers The Grateful Dead, “Run for Your Life” by John “wife-respecter” Lennon plus the Beatles, and “Follow you Home” by Nickelback have all set the stage for our current champion of women’s empowerment: namely, Hobo Johnson and the Lovemakers.
What this new wave has successfully realized through numerous Judd Apatow films is that softbois are all good people. In fact, ensuring male fragility remains intact is the ultimate goal of fifth-wave feminism. Skaters and e-boys need to have their feelings over validated to encourage men to be more open with their emotions, a massive victory for women everywhere.

“Mario’s never getting some, and Link’s never getting some”

This line really shows that despite the fact that they’re obviously owed sex for being heroes, Hobo Johnson still says that its okay for them to go against their duty as women and not have sex with men who are obsessed with them.

“She deserves someone better, but
Every single guy she’s ever loved to me sounds really f–king dumb”

Here Hobo says that women deserve better than what they currently have.

“Sex in the city probably feels really really nice”

A very logical and factual statement, a bag fully unpacked.
Hobo Johnson is not alone in this fight. In rap he is accompanied by Lucki and all of the Scandinavian Incel Collective (Drain Gang). The indie rock army is a bunch of angsty warriors who train and fight as one because they’re all the same and have the same influences and feelings.
We cannot end this conversation without considering the obvious vice-versa. Women need to stop being fragile and talking about their feelings; this is detrimental to the male feminist movement on earth. Artists such as Lucy Dacus, Mitski, and Taylor Swift who write sad masterpieces need to STFU. We need more STRONG females such as Azealia Banks and GFOTY.
In sum, Hobo Johnson is great for all the same reasons all other softbois are. They are really focused on their own feelings. Society tries to tell us that women’s feelings matter more, but Hobo Johnson decides they don’t matter whatsoever and decides not to go through usual male emotional labor of trying to simpathize.
